Hello

I’ve called Sammamish home for 30 years, and it has been an honor to serve our community as Deputy Mayor. I’m running for re-election to continue the forward-thinking vision our Council set forth in 2022.

Over the past four years, our Council has laid the groundwork for a stronger future by adopting strategic plans such as the Climate Action Plan, Transportation Master Plan, Critical Areas Update, Bike and Pedestrian Mobility Plan, and the 2024 Comprehensive Plan, which will guide our City’s growth and sustainability for the next twenty years.

Over the next four years, I’m committed to ensuring our City is on a path to fiscal sustainability, strengthening our resilience to extreme weather, and supporting the Town Center project. It’s essential to expand housing options, diversify city revenue with new businesses, and build a space where people can gather and connect.

I’m proud of the progress we have made—and ready to keep pushing for a safer, more connected, and sustainable city for all.

Accomplishments

I advocated for and, with Council’s support, doubled sidewalk funding to $2.4 million over six years. This accelerates our timeline to improve walkability and pedestrian safety across the city.
I championed the partial opening of Beaton Hill Park. With staff support, a trail was added that offers a safer pedestrian alternative to walking on 218 Ave SE where there was no shoulder.
To further our sustainability goals, I worked with King County Solid Waste Division to offer a Repair Event in our community. At the August 2 event, skilled volunteers will repair household items at the library.
With the implementation of the utility tax, I advocated for and, with Council’s support, doubled the City yearly rebate for qualifying lower-income households to $200.
